Dual Enrollment (DE) Advisement & Registration

New DE Students
Before Advisement

New dual enrolled students must first meet with their high school counselor to discuss what courses they need in order to fulfill high school graduation requirements.

High school counselors must submit approved courses to East Georgia before a student can be advised.

Advisement & Registration

Dual enrolled students receive priority registration to ensure that they have access to the courses that they need to fulfill high school graduation requirements. Students will receive an email from the Dual Enrollment Coordinator with instructions on when and how to sign up for an advisement appointment prior to course registration.

IMPORTANT: If you make any changes to your course schedule after your Dual Enrollment application has been approved, you must complete a new Dual Enrollment agreement form and have the new course(s) approved by both your high school counselor and the Dual Enrollment coordinator. Students are also not permitted to withdraw from a currently enrolled course without prior approval from their high school counselor verifying if the course will affect their high school graduation requirements.

GAfutures Dual Enrollment Funding Application

Dual enrolled students are required to complete the GAfutures Dual Enrollment Funding Application to ensure that they receive the Dual Enrollment Funding to cover their tuition and non-course-related fees.

Students should complete the GAfutures application before registering for classes. Failure to complete the application could result in students having to pay for their cost of enrollment or removal from courses. Students attending a private or public Georgia high schools and students attending a home study program can complete the application online found here.

Continuing DE Students

Dual enrolled students who wish to continue in the program from one semester to the next must first meet with their high school counselor to discuss what courses they need in order to fulfill high school graduation requirements.

High school counselors must submit approved courses to East Georgia before a student can be advised.

Graduating DE Students
Continuing at East Georgia

To continue enrollment at East Georgia after high school graduation:

  1. Complete the Continuing Student form.
    • You don’t need to resubmit an admissions application.
  2. After graduation, don’t forget to submit your final high school transcript.
Orientation

Students who continue their studies at East Georgia are required to attend a virtual Orientation. Click here for more information.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Students can apply for any and all available scholarships through the Scholarships portal. For more information about scholarships, click here.

All students are encouraged to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application.

Advisement for your Major

Continuing students will be assigned a new advisor based on their major and should check the advisor section in their MyEGSC portal for more information. To schedule an appointment for advisement, visit the GradesFirst section in your MyEGSC portal.

Attending Another Institution

To attend another institution after high school graduation, students will need to request that their East Georgia transcript be sent to their new institution. Click here for more information about transcript requests.
