It is a priority of East Georgia State College Bookstore to shelve as many used books as possible.  The bookstore hosts an end of semester book buyback in an effort to obtain used books for the following semester.

Buyback: Amount Paid?

  • If the bookstore is buying a book and it is a current edition, up to 50% of the NEW selling price will be paid.
  • If the bookstore has no need for a book, the used book vendor facilitating buyback may purchase it
  • The value of your book may increase if you provide all required components at book buyback—including CD’s, Supplements, and Other Accessories.

Does the bookstore guarantee all books will be bought?
No, the bookstore’s goal is to buyback as many books as possible from students.  Unfortunately, some books may have zero value, quantities needed may be limited or no additional inventory may be needed.

Textbooks purchased for a new semester must be returned within the allotted time period of the given Book Voucher days of the semester along with a receipt/photo id.  After the allotted refund period, refunds will be issued in the form of STORE CREDIT.

Bookstore Financial Aid

  • Available the week before classes start and the week of classes.
  • You must have an East Georgia State College ID to charge against your account.
  • After the cutoff date we will no longer accept charges or refunds against Financial Aid

Can I returns books if I bought them with my Bookstore Financial Aid?
Yes, as long as you have the receipt/photo id for the item you are returning, and you are still within the return period for financial aid.  The return policy can be found at the bottom of your receipt.

What happens to the money in my Financial Aid account if I don’t spend it all?
After the Financial Aid accounts are closes, approximately 2 weeks after classes start, the Financial Aid department begins sending our refunds to all students with a credit balance on their account.
