FINANCIAL AID AND TUITION/FEE REFUND DISBURSEMENTS (Higher One)
East Georgia State College has partnered with Higher One, a financial services company, for refund disbursements. Financial Aid and tuition/fee refunds are disbursed to EGSC students via a Higher One MyOne Card. With the MyOneMoney service, refunds will be delivered according to the refund preference chosen by the student –
- Same business day deposit to a checking account, serviced by Higher One, Inc. - money deposited to the account the same business day funds are released by EGSC to Higher One.
- Deposit to another account - money in two to three business days.
- Paper check - money in five to seven business days.
Even if you do not receive Financial Aid, you must set up a refund preference with Higher One. You may be eligible to receive a refund from East Georgia State College even though you did not receive Financial Aid. For example, if you paid out-of-pocket and drop a class during the drop/add period, or you withdraw from EGSC, you may be eligible for a refund.
New students will receive a Higher One MyOne Card in the mail. The card will arrive in a bright green envelope with “Higher One All You” printed on the front. HOLD ON TO THIS CARD!!! When you receive your Higher One MyOne Card, go online and use your card to select your refund preference.
NOTE: The Higher One MyOne Card will be mailed to the student’s legal address on file with the college. If you provide an invalid address you will not receive your Higher One MyOne Card. Therefore, you will not receive your refund when you expect it. We encourage ALL students to verify that we have accurate mailing addresses. You are not required to open a Higher One debit account; however you must make a choice for your preferred method of receiving your refund.
