EGSC-Statesboro and Georgia Southern University

Taking Classes and Utilizing Services at GSU

EGSC-Statesboro students must submit the following to Georgia Southern University:

  1. Undergraduate Admissions Application for GSU's Statesboro Campus
    • Select ""Transient at East Georgia." By selecting this category, Georgia Southern will not be looking for high school transcripts, test scores, or other Admissions documentation.
    • Students who transfer to Georgia Southern within three years of completing the Georgia Southern application will not have to reapply to Georgia Southern University when they transfer from EGSC-S to GSU.
  2. Immunization Forms & Questionnaires

***Failure to complete these steps may prevent students from receiving GSU Student Services, registering for GSU classes, or their GSU classes being dropped.***

The transfer process is seamless

Each semester, a meeting is held for students who are ready to transfer to Georgia Southern University. At these meetings, students are walked through the transfer process and are given important information regarding dates and deadlines, SOAR, financial aid, on-campus housing, and much more.

Students complete the necessary paperwork, which is tracked by EGSC-S staff. Documents necessary to the transfer process are hand-carried to Georgia Southern University’s Admissions Office staff, where they are given priority processing.

If you need to have a transcript sent elsewhere, you may submit a transcript request.

For students who have special interests or talents, there are some transient course opportunities available:
