All students who used federal student loans at EGSC must complete required exit counseling.

Exit counseling provides you with information regarding your rights and responsibilities as a borrower. You learn about loan terminology, your loan servicer (who you must communicate with regarding payments), repayment options, deferments, and cancellation of your loan.

Exit Counseling will prepare you to be responsible and effective in repayment of your educational loans. You are required to complete Exit Counseling if:

  • You are within your graduating semester
  • Leave the College (even if it is just temporary)
  • Your registration falls below half-time enrollment (Less than six credit hours)

Prior to Graduation you will receive exit counseling materials from the EGSC Financial Aid Office explaining your rights and responsibilities regarding your student loan obligations. You will also be requested to complete the federally mandated Student Loan Exit Counseling Information at https://studentaid.gov/exit-counseling/
