Shark Attack! Doubles Disk Golf Tournament scheduled for June 17

East Georgia State College (EGSC) Recreation and Sports Club will host the fourth Shark Attack! Doubles Tournament on Saturday, June 17. EGSC’s signature event, Shark Attack! Doubles is a round of one-disc, best-shot doubles. The special twist is that everyone must throw an Innova DX Shark midrange disc. The tournament was first played on the original EGSC course which ended with a throw across Ezra Pond. This fourth installment will be played at Piney Woods, which winds around Pa’s Pond and finishes with a throw along the dam. EGSC’s Piney Woods Disc Golf Course is located across from the Sudie A. Fulford Community Learning Center.
A one-disc tournament with a stipulated disc levels the playing field, forcing throwers to rely on their shot-shaping ability rather than an arsenal of discs with various flight characteristics.
