East Georgia State College names 2025 Homecoming King & Queen

East Georgia State College (EGSC) hosted its annual Homecoming Week February 3-8, 2025. On Saturday, February 8, the EGSC’s Men and Women’s Basketball Teams concluded the festivities with their games in the Bobcat Den. Between the basketball games the homecoming representatives were recognized along with the announcement of the new EGSC Homecoming King and Queen. De’dria Steril was named the 2025 EGSC Homecoming Queen and Jalen Gallman was named the EGSC Homecoming King.
Homecoming Queen De’dria Steril is from Henry County, Georgia, and is a sophomore majoring in nursing. She is actively involved in Student Life, serves as a manager for the EGSC Men’s Basketball Team, and is a member of the African American Union and the Pre-Professional Club.
Homecoming King Jalen Gallman is from Tampa, Florida, and is a sophomore majoring in nursing. He is actively involved in the African American Male Initiative and SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and serves as an EGSC Student Ambassador. Jalen is also a math tutor for EGSC’s Academic Center for Excellence and the captain of the Bobcat Men’s Basketball Team.
Homecoming candidates were nominated by fellow students, faculty, staff, or the club or organization they are a member of. Beginning on Monday of homecoming week, students, faculty, and staff were able to cast their vote for who they believe should be the next EGSC Homecoming King and Queen.
The following were the 2025 Homecoming Queen candidates: Tabria Spicer of Thomasville, Georgia; Alice Reece of Augusta, Georgia; Dani Roberson of Milledgeville, Georgia; Jocie Hendrix of Swainsboro, Georgia; Brooklyn Scrubb of Decatur, Georgia; Hayley Walker of Vidalia, Georgia.
The following were the 2025 Homecoming King candidates: Kobe Brown of Waynesboro, Georgia; Kenton McIntosh of Freeport, Bahamas; Aiden Lewis of Statesboro, Georgia; Brady Burgess of Tampa, Florida.
EGSC would like to congratulate all the representatives for being nominated and the new homecoming king and queen! Congratulations, Bobcats!
