East Georgia State College employees may have work assignments that involve driving a vehicle to accomplish Institution business. The Motor Vehicle Use Policy was established to set driving qualification standards for USG drivers and requires annual training and other appropriate measures for those employees who may fall outside those standards. East Georgia State College employees are expected to perform their duties as safely as possible to insure the protection of themselves, their fellow workers and the general public, and to reduce the amount of lost time through injuries and accidents.
All employees, regardless of frequency of driving on Institution business, must complete sections 1 – 4. Employees who have been identified as driving on Institution business on a routine or frequent basis will be required to have a Motor Vehicle Record check.

Employees must watch both videos and then register your participation for each one. Credit will not be granted if you do not register. - Motor Vehicle Record Authorization Form (PDF)
Employees who have been identified as driving on Institution business on a routine or frequent basis must complete the attached form and send to the EGSC Office of Human Resources. - Travel Request Form (under "Leave & Travel" section)
This form must be completed and approved before travel is granted. The EGSC Business Office will verify employee driving privileges with the EGSC Office of Human Resources. Employees must submit a Travel Expense Statement within 60 days of travel to be reimbursed; failure to do so will result in loss of reimbursement. - Supervisor’s Accident Follow-Up Checklist (.docx download)
Supervisors are to complete this checklist and forward it to the Risk Management Services Division (RMS) and the EGSC Office of Human Resources within 2 workdays of being advised of an on-the-job accident that occurred while driving on state business.
