Miss EGSC Scholarship Pageant set for Saturday, April 9

The 2022 Miss East Georgia State College Scholarship Pageant will be held Saturday, April 9 at 6 p.m. in the Luck F. Gambrell Center Auditorium. Family and friends of the contestants, students, and the community is invited to attend the free event.
Six contestants will compete for the crown in the categories of interview, on stage question, casual wear, and evening gown. Each contestant has selected a platform project they plan to complete during their rein if they are chosen to represent EGSC. For their platform, they organize a plan for volunteering and completion of the project that they present to the judges.
Meet the contestants:
Elizabeth Colston of Kite, Georgia, is the 19-year-old daughter of Wesley and Sandi Colston. She plans to major in early childhood education. Her platform is “Don’t Tell Me No!”
Hailey Elizabeth Rozier is the 19-year-old daughter of Nicholas and Laura Rozier of Wrens, Georgia. She is majoring in chemistry, and her platform is “Project Joy.”
Ka’Niya Lewis of Louisville, Georgia, is the 18-year-old daughter of Stephanie Lewis. She plans to major in early childhood education. Her platform is mental health.
Grace Gardner is the 20-year-old daughter of Lee and Shanna Gardner of Waynesboro, Georgia. She is a biology major, and her platform is “Bobcat Summer.”
Mary Grace Winfrey of Kite, Georgia, is the 17-year-old daughter of Craig and Amanda Winfrey. She is a general studies major, and her platform is promoting children’s literacy.
Carleigh DeFee is the 18-year-old daughter of Lane and Jane DeFee of Soperton, Georgia. She is a general studies major. Her platform is “Know Your NAME: Not Another ME.”
Miss EGSC 2021, Anita Cerpovicz, will share memories of her year during the event. Special entertainment will be provided by All Star Dance Academy.
The pageant is hosted by EGSC’s Student Government Association. EGSC, SGA and the contestants ask the community to join us April 9!
