Adult and Non-Traditional Students
Adult and non-traditional students are those who have less than 30 transferable semester/45 quarter college credit hours (or no college credit) and have been out of high school for at least five years or your high school class graduated at least five years ago. If you have 30 or more transferable semester hours, you should apply for admission as a transfer student.
Admissions Steps
-
- Apply online: Complete the admissions application.
- Submit your high school and/or college transcripts: East Georgia accepts transcripts through electronic transcript services such as Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, GA Futures, etc. Please do not fax or email transcripts. If not sent electronically, high school transcripts may be mailed or submitted in person. They will be considered official as long as they remain in the original, sealed envelope from the school. If not sent electronically, college transcripts must be mailed directly from the institution. They will not be considered official if submitted directly from the student. To order transcripts, refer to the Registrar’s website at your previous institution.
- Verification of lawful presence: If you want to be considered for in-state tuition or receive financial aid, please submit your verification of lawful presence.
