Admissions Steps
-
- Apply online: Complete the admissions application.
- Submit proof of age, identification, proof of Georgia residency, and the Senior Citizens Tuition and Fees Waiver to the Registrar’s Office.
- Submit your high school/GED and/or college transcripts: East Georgia accepts transcripts through electronic transcript services such as Parchment, National Student Clearinghouse, GA Futures, etc. Please do not fax or email transcripts. If not sent electronically, high school transcripts may be mailed or submitted in person. They will be considered official as long as they remain in the original, sealed envelope from the school. If not sent electronically, college transcripts must be mailed directly from the institution. They will not be considered official if submitted directly from the student. To order transcripts, refer to the Registrar’s website at your previous institution.
- Take the Academic Placement exam. This exam will determine if you need to take refresher courses in reading, English, and/or mathematics.
- Check your application status: This status will reflect information we have in our records. You will be able to learn of your admissions decision as soon as it is made without having to wait for an official email or admissions letter.
