Purpose and Functions

The purposes of the Judicial Committee are to maintain standards for student behavior, including conducting interim suspension hearings. The purpose of the Judicial Committee is also to provide any student who has been interim suspended and/or is determined to have violated the Student Code of Conduct an avenue for due process consideration. Its functions are to recommend policies and procedures as necessary and proper to accomplish its purpose, and to establish and maintain faculty/student hearing panels to hear individual cases as provided in those policies and procedures.

Membership

    • Chair, Director of Student Conduct;
    • Academic Affairs representative;
    • Two faculty members elected by the faculty; and
    • One student appointed by the Student Government Association.
